captain/owner a new option in the battle to control the cost of maintainance.
At Shineyachts, we use high quality materials developed by the largest polymer research
laboratories in France and Germany, materials that pass all T.U.V. resistance tests and are
specifically designed to be used on yacht finishes in the marine environment.
We are entirely owned and run by professionals whose combined experience dwarfs all
other companies in this field.
Keeping gel coat shiny
Ageing gel coat and paint surfaces, suffer from
UV degradation and become increasingly
porous trapping impurities like oil and soot
residues, salt and dirt. Preparing the surface
with very fine abrasive compound removes the
uneven surface and impurities and eliminates the
porous effect caused by salt water and UV
oxidation. This pre-treatment leaves the surface
highly prepared and extra smooth which helps
the coatings adhere and enhances the colour
depth.

The optimum performance expectancy of a
paint finish is 4 to 6 years. Refinishing is an
expensive process taking the boat out of
service, often out of the water, covering the
whole boat, or painting in a controlled
environment, removing fittings, masking,
preparation and painting. The Shineyachts
system can be applied in-water, in a matter of
days and costs around 8 -10% of refinishing
and does no damage to the environment.

The nanotechnology coating actually
prevents impurities sticking to the surface.
Dirt, soot and grease will simply wipe off
using water or vinegar, these simple and
cheap cleaning agents are the most
effective. The life and effectiveness of the
nanotechnology coating can actually be
compromised by using unsuitable cleaning
products.
Under the nanotechnology layer the
polymer coating maintains the deep
colours and shine.
Even ageing paint and gelcoat
becomes easy to clean and maintain.
The coating system has NO adverse
effects on future paint finishing applied
after standard preparation techniques.

After evaluation, we will recommend a treatment, with an estimated cost and duration of works.
The coating system is highly durable so the treatment comes with a warranty of 9 months.
After a period of 9 to12 months we invite you to order your first of two recommended annual
services. In this service we will reapply polymer and nanotechnology coating to extend the life
of the treatment. These 'annual services' are charged at half the cost of the initial application,
and are covered by a full 9 month warranty.
After a period of three years we will re-evaluate the condition of the finish and offer you a
proposal accordingly.
